Man City, others want to sign this Chelsea 21-year-old left back

Barely hours to the start of the January transfer window and football clubs are gearing up for new players to sign.

A recent report has claimed Manchester City are among the clubs interested in signing Ian Maatsen from Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea in the January window.

That was made public by journalist Rudy Galetti, who also claimed that another Premier League club West Ham have an eye on Maatsen.

Aside from Man City and West Ham, German side Borussia Dortmund are considering a move for Maatsen.

Maatsen can play as a left-back and the winger has been on the books of Chelsea since 2018 and has had loan spells at Charlton Athletic, Coventry City and Burnley in recent years.

There are no indications yet if Chelsea would be willing to let him leave in January.

We will have to wait to see if any of the interested clubs will submit an offer to Chelsea soon.
