Liverpool manager gives fresh update on the future of youngster ahead of new season
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has sent a strong message to the youngster in the club, urging them to give him enough reason that they can play at the highest level.
The reds had a season to forget last time out as they only cemented their place in the top four during the previous match.
Liverpool are now eager to retain the Premier League title, and they’ve continued to be linked with players who they believe suit the club style of play.
However, a move for new players means some youngsters will not have enough playing time on the pitch, but Klopp has issued a challenge to all his fringe players.
This includes exciting youngsters like Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott, urging them to prove they can be good enough to stop him from having to dip further in the transfer market this summer.
Speaking ahead of their first preseason match, Klopp stated that last season there were not many good things to say as the club went through a challenging, tough period.
However, the team paved their way through it to finish third, and that was incredible; the team 100 per more substantial.
Klopp added that they have so much movement in the squad; some so many players could step up for different reasons; the last season was maybe not theirs, but that doesn’t mean from now on it will always go backwards.
The German tactician added that the players were close to the first team but didn’t play often enough. So, the door is open, and they should take the chance and play the best football they can do and then the team immediately get options adding that t’s always like having new signings.
