Kompany speaks on link to Chelsea

Burnley manager Kompany in a recent statement has said he wouldn’t feed the speculations linking him with a transfer to Chelsea.

Kompany gained more popularity as a coach after he secured promotion to the Premier League for the first time of asking.

Aside from this, the Belgian was also recently named Manager of the Year at the EFL awards.

Kompany is among the managers who have been tipped to become Chelsea’s next permanent manager.

However, out of respect for his current employer, Kompany has refused to speak on his link to Chelsea.

When asked about joining Chelsea or Tottenham, Kompany told talkSPORT: “I made this decision before even starting the season that I was never going to get involved in speculation.

“I think the biggest respect you can have is for people you are working with, to show that you are completely dedicated to what they have entrusted you to do. I don’t want to talk about anything else.”
