It was so hard – Chelsea star hails Leeds United

Chelsea may have defeated Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday night, but it was not an easy win for the Blues.

Leeds United had the early lead following a goal from Patrick Bamford before the Blues were able to equalise and add two more goals to it.

In a post match statement, Chelsea star forward, Olivier Giroud, who also scored a goal during the match vs. Leeds United revealed that the match was hard as he hailed Leeds United for an impressive performance.

“We really wanted to win for [the fans] and carry on the good momentum,” the 34-year-old said post-match.

“Honestly, we were not surprised to face this team [Leeds] because we knew their qualities. We conceded early and wanted to bounce back straight away.

“They [Leeds] were one of the best teams I have faced since a few months. Physically they run everywhere. It was so hard.

“It’s a great feeling to win tonight and they drew against Man City and lost just to Liverpool. They really impress me. They are a good team.

Chelsea are current seated at the top of the EPL table with their fans now hoping they could lift the EPL title this season.
