Frank Lampard is my role model – Mount speaks on why he lives pressing

Chelsea star and England international Mason Mount, in a recent statement, has revealed why he loves the pressing style of football.

Mount disclosed he believes that he has to work and trackback the ball instead of just being good on the ball.

The England international went on to reveal that former Chelsea star and coach Frank Lampard is his role model.

Mount, in an interview with Jammie Redknapp on Sky Sport, said, “It is something my Dad always used to say to me, ‘don’t be a luxury No 10 where you are just good on the ball, you have to do the other side of the game, work and track back, win the ball.’

So any time I played a No 8 role, I always wanted to get forward into the box as much as I can with Frank Lampard being a role model of mine. I always watched him when I was younget then as soon as we did not have the ball, I wanted to get back, win the ball back and work hard for the team, which is something I always did.”
