Former Chelsea striker could return to the EPL as Arsenal and Tottenham get opportunity to sign him on loan
Former Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata could return to the English Premier league this January.
This comes as the latest reports revealed that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been offer the chance to sign him on loan.
Tottenham and Arsenal have both been frustrated in their pursuits of their respective attacking targets this month and could end the window without any major incomings.
However, they could get an opportunity to sign Morata who is currently on loan at Juventus from Atletico Madrid and is facing an uncertain future in Turin following the arrival of Dusan Vlahovic and has been frequently linked with a possible switch to Barcelona.
A new report via The Times claims that Morata is now surplus to requirements at Juventus and has been offered to both Arsenal and Tottenham, as well as Newcastle United.
The report added that a move to Barcelona is less likely given the Catalans’ ongoing debacle with Ousmane Dembele, and Morata’s agent has also ruled out the prospect of a switch to Catalonia.
So far this season, Morata has scored eight goals and created five assists in 29 appearances for Juventus while his contract at Atletico is due to expire in 2023.
