Former Chelsea manager signs Perisic
Former Chelsea and now Tottenham Hotspur coach Antonio Conte has signed Ivan Perisic to the EPL side from Inter Milan.
Tottenham announced the Club’s official website on Tuesday.
The report revealed that Perisic signed a two-year contract that will see him remain at Tottenham until 2024.
The statement read in part, “The vastly experienced Croatia international will join the Club on 1 July following the expiration of his contract at Internazionale and has agreed to a deal that will run until 2024.
“A player with multiple winners’ medals under his belt, Ivan began his career in the youth academies of Hajduk Split and Sochaux before a short loan spell at KSV Roeselare in Belgium.”
Perisic will reunite with Conte at Hotspurs and there are beliefs the Italian manager may have used his influence as a former Inter Milan manager to sign the Croatia international to the EPL side.
Conte led Tottenham to the top four on the EPL table and they would be playing in the Uefa Champions League next season, thus there is need for him to sign new players.
