Former Chelsea manager names favourite to win Seria A

Former Chelsea and now AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho has tipped Napoli to emerge, winners of the Italian Seria A title, this season.

Mourinho in his message congratulated Napoli, as he stated that the Luciano Spalletti’s side have emerged winner despite playing only 19 league matches so far this season.

The former Chelsea manager made this known ahead of his side’s Serie A tie with Napoli on Sunday.

Napoli are the Seria A league toppers with 50 points from 19 matches and are 12 ahead of second-placed AC Milan on the log.

“Congratulations to the people of Naples, the players and Luciano [Spalletti], they have won the Scudetto, and they are worthy winners,” Mourinho said, according to Daily Mail.

“Because of the inconsistency of Inter and AC Milan, and because you sense there is no other team that can go on a six, seven or eight-game winning run, the title is theirs.”

In another report, Mourinho has been linked with a return to the EPL where he could join Chelsea for the third time.
