Fofana speaks on his expectations at Chelsea

Chelsea’s latest signing Wesley Fofana in a recent statement expressed his excitement to finally joined the Blues.

This comes as the French defender recently completed a transfer to Stamford Bridge from Leicester City.

Fofana, who could make his debut for the Blues during their game vs West Ham this weekend said he wants to win trophies at the club.

He said ‘The two last days have been really big days for me and I’m very happy. I trained this morning with the team and it’s a dream for me. I’m very excited to start playing games for the fans and the club.

‘I’m here to win trophies – the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, everything. I came here to win and the club is built to win trophies so I’m here to continue that.’

Fofana also opened up about his dream to become the best defender in the world.

He said: ‘Of course it can a lot because it’s such a big club. For me, I want to be a big player, the best, and that’s normal because I play for the best.

‘I’m sure this club will help me do that because it’s one of the biggest clubs and winning trophies is in the DNA here. Now I just want to be a part of that.’
