FA Cup: Four players to miss Chelsea game vs Preston
Chelsea will return to action in the FA Cup on Saturday when they host Preston at Stamford Bridge.
Ahead of the match, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has named four key Chelsea players who will not take part in the Blues’ FA Cup third-round clash against Preston.
The players are Ben Chilwell, Chukwuemeka Carney and Romeo Lavia.
“Chilly and Carney are not available for tomorrow,” Pochettino said.
“We will see for the next game, the semi-final in Middlesbrough, and then Fulham. They are doing well, training with the group in the last few days and we are so happy with their progress.”
He added: “Romeo Lavia is recovering after his injury. We still don’t know when he is going to be available again because of the problem in his quad during the game against Palace. Benoit, I think, is going to be available next week.”
