Everton target this Chelsea midfielder

With less than four days to the end of the January transfer window, a recent report has linked Everton with moves to sign Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The reports revealed that Everton have their eye on the Blues midfielder.

However, a report via the Daily Mail revealed that Everton’s interest would be knocked back with Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel, not prepared to let the England international leave.

Aside from the Toffees, Italian club Juventus were reportedly also interested in signing Loftus-Cheek earlier in the January transfer window when they were looking for possible replacements for Arthur Melo, who is now set to remain at the club.

Loftus-Cheek is a key player in the Blues midfield and is expected to get more playing time as age is beginning to tell on N’Golo Kante.

Chelsea will be returning to action on February 5 when they play Plymouth in the FA Cup tournament.

While the Blues are no longer contenders for the EPL title, they still have a chance to lift the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FIFA Club Cup and even the Uefa Champions League trophy.
