EPL: Rudiger blames team mates after goalless draw vs the Wolves
Chelsea ended their games against the Wolves in a goalless draw which has seen them remain at the third spot but with a growing distance between them and league toppers Man City.
Reacting to their recent defeat to the Wolves, Chelsea defender and Germany international Antonio Rudiger has blamed his fellow teammates.
According to Rudiger, the Blues squad cannot now bury matches while referring to Christian Pulisic’s missed chance during the game.
The German defender stressed the team could not be happy with the Premier League draw against Wolves.
The Blues struggled to get a foothold in the game, with their best chance falling to Christian Pulisic, whose shot was thwarted by Wolves keeper Jose Sa.
Rudiger revealed that he was frustrated with the draw.
“With the circumstances, of course, the build-up of the game was not the easiest but we have to look at the table so yes we cannot be happy with that point,” he said.
“Luck is not on our side because we don’t bury this type of chances [Pulisic chance] so yea it’s difficult not to win games away from home.
“The first half it was not at our best, they dominated the game but they were not dangerous.
“The second half we had a good uplift, we showed character but still at the end of the day we cannot be happy with this point because looking at the table.”
