EPL: Chelsea tipped to defeat Tottenham

The Blues will return to action this weekend when they move to Wembley Stadium to play Tottenham Hotspurs.

The Blues, who have not suffered any defeat this season in all competition, will hope to continue the form when they meet the Hotspurs.

They will be heading to the match following their victory in the Champions League vs Russian side, Zenit St. Petersburg, on Tuesday.

Ahead of their weekend match on Sunday, Paul Merson has predicted the Blues to emerge winner against Tottenham.

Merson, in his prediction, revealed he doesn’t see anything other than the Blues winning.

The sports pundit noted that Tottenham get to a certain place and start playing well, but suddenly, they face a struggling side and lose rather comprehensively.

Merson made this known in reaction to Tottenham loss to Crystal Palace, who scored two late goals in their last meeting, with the game ending in a 3-0 scoreline.

‘I watched Chelsea play against Zenit in the UEFA Champions League, and Romelu Lukaku didn’t have too many chances.

‘However, he popped up to score the matchwinner with a brilliant goal, and that is exactly what he brings to the team – I fancy him to score every time he plays!

‘The fans will be up for this one, and I predict Chelsea to be too strong for Spurs on the day,” Merson told Sportskeeda.
