Cudicini names this Chelsea player the best this season

Chelsea legend Carlo Cudicini, in a recent statement, has named his best player in the Blues squad this season.

According to Cudicini, Trevoh Chalobah is his Chelsea player of the season so far.

Cudicini, who is also a former Italian goalkeeper, snubbed Mason Mount, who has seven goals to his name in 15 Premier League appearances and created four assists, to pick Chalobah over him.

The former goalie stressed that the defence is one of the major reasons for Chelsea’s recent struggles as he named young centre-back Chalobah as the club’s player of the season so far.

Chalobah has featured in 11 of Chelsea’s opening 18 Premier League games, scoring two goals.

“For sure, Mason Mount is also doing extremely well; he was in and out of the team early on in the season but he’s a pivotal part of things right now,” Cudicini told Ladbrokes.

“I have to say because he was part of our development phase, Trevoh Chalobah has been my standout player of the season so far for Chelsea.

“He’s done extremely well and I’m so happy to see him performing so well for the first-team.”
