Cucurella speaks on relationship with Chelsea summer target

Chelsea defender, Marc Cucurella has opened up on his relationship with Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder, Moises Caicedo, who is the Blues’ main target this summer.

Cucurella, who joined the Blues from Brighton revealed his former teammate Caicedo is keen on a move to Stamford Bridge.

However, Cucurella believes the Ecuadorian international is a ‘top midfielder’, adding that he has a good relationship with him.

In a press conference in North Carolina, the US on Tuesday, Cucurella was asked to give his views on Caicedo and the Spaniard said via Football London:

“I think he wants to come here, I have read in the media lots of times. I have a good relationship with him, he is a good midfielder and if he comes I think we will have a top midfielder for a long time.”

Chelsea remain in the race to sign Caicedo for their manager Mauricio Pochettino following the departure of many of their midfielders.
