Chelsea to sign out midfielder on loan

Chelsea are said to be planning on signing their midfielder Andrey Santos on loan if they are unable to get a work permit for him.

Recall that the Blues completed an £18million deal to sign Santos from Vasco da Gama in January.

Santos has been named as one of the best young midfield talents in Brazil having scored five goals for Brazil at the South American Under-20 Championship over the past two weeks.

A report via Globo revealed Chelsea’s coaching staff have been encouraged by Santos’ performances in Brazil and are planning to integrate him into the club’s first team under manager Graham Potter as soon as possible.

The report added that Santos does not have enough points to qualify for a UK work permit, which made Chelsea apply for an exceptional talent visa in order to make sure that he can immediately play in the Premier League.

If it doesn’t work out, Chelsea plan on signing him out on loan.
