Chelsea to be without Nkunku, 5 others vs Liverpool

Ahead of Chelsea’s opener match vs Liverpool this weekend at Stamford Bridge, the Blues have given an update on their squad.

Chelsea led by their new permanent manager Mauricio Pochettino will be without six of their players who are on injuries.

Among the six players is Chelsea star Christopher Nkunku, who arrived at Stamford Bridge this summer from RB Leipzig.

Below is the update Chelsea provided on the six players affected by injury:

Benoit Badiashile and Armando Broja are at the end stages of their rehabilitation programme and wouldn’t be available to play against the Reds.

Marcus Bettinelli will continue to undergo his rehabilitation programme.

Trevoh Chalobah is in the process of reconditioning to return to team training.

Wesley Fofana will continue with the early rehabilitation stages following surgery.

Nkunku is recovering well post-surgery and starting rehabilitation.

Pochettino will have to rely on the Blues’ other players this weekend.
