Chelsea sign new striker but…
The latest report revealed that Chelsea have signed a new striker in the person of Mason Burstow.
According to the report, Burstow joined the Blues from Charlton Athletic.
But the terms of the agreement revealed that Burstow would, however, return to the Valley on loan for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.
Chelsea confirmed this latest signing via a statement on its website on Tuesday.
The statement read: “We have completed the signing of Mason Burstow from Charlton Athletic, with the teenage striker returning to the Valley on loan for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.”
In another report, Chelsea didn’t add a new player to their first team during the recently concluded January transfer window.
Despite the need for a new left-back defender to serve as a replacement for Ben Chilwell, who is out of the team for the rest of the season owing to injury, the Blues were unable to complete any signing.
They, however, recalled Robert Kenedy, who might play in that role for the rest of the season.
Chelsea will return to action this weekend when they face Plymouth in the FA Cup tournament.
