A new report has not claimed the London club are preparing to offload five fringe players in a bid to ensure that Kounde is signed before transfer deadline.

With Sevilla reportedly demanding around £68million for their star defender, Chelsea are willing to sign at all cost.

According to the Daily Mail, Kurt Zouma is still number one on the list of five players likely to depart Chelsea before the summer market closes on August 31.

Zouma has just two years left on his current contract at Chelsea and has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
