Chelsea set to make last bid for highly rated defender ahead of transfer deadline

Premier League outfit, Chelsea are not relenting in their pursuit of Jules Kounde from Sevilla as they are reportedly willing to submit a transfer deadline day bid.

Chelsea have been linked with Kounde for majority of the summer transfer window but they’ve not been able to agree a transfer fee with Sevilla.

Though multiple reports claimed Kounde have agreed personal terms with Chelsea, Sevilla asking price has been a problem between both teams.

There are reports that Sevilla have also added 15m euros (£12.8m) to part company with the rising star, but Chelsea are now prepared to walk away from the deal altogether.

However, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Chelsea had a complicated and tense day for Jules Koundé negotiations with Sevilla.

According to Romano, the deal is on the verge of collapsing many times but today Chelsea will try again with final approach.

Chelsea have already let go of Kurt Zouma in a bid to raise fund and create space for Kounde who was left out of Sevilla last match against Elche.
