Chelsea hold emergency meeting with Potter
Chelsea co-owners, Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali had an emergency meeting with manager Graham Potter, according to The Evening Standard report.
The meeting comes as the Blues continue to struggle in all competitions this season.
Recall that the Blues appointed Potter as Thomas Tuchel’s replacement in September.
But the former Brighton manager has come under immense pressure in recent weeks with Chelsea struggling in all competitions despite splashing over £600m on players in the last two transfer windows.
So far, Chelsea have recorded just one win in their last 10 matches and lost 1-0 to 20th-placed Southampton last weekend.
As of now, Chelsea are currently 10th in the table, with 11 points off the top four.
They have also been kicked out of the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
The Blues are also likely to be kicked out of the Champions League having already lost their first-leg tie to Borussia Dortmund in the last 16.
Boehly and Eghbali, who have repeatedly supported Potter are now keen to understand how Potter plans to turn Chelsea’s fortunes around.
