Chelsea outcast in talks with Turkish club over potential January move

Forgotten Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater has been linked with a move to Turkish team Kasimpasa as he hopes this revives his fading career.

Drinkwater was one of the biggest midfielders in England when he joined Chelsea after an impressive season at Leicester City, winning the Premier League alongside N’Golo Kante.

However, just as N’Golo Kante has become a prominent figure at Chelsea, Drinkwater has not been able to make a mark as the England international is yet to appear for Frank Lampard this season.

Drinkwater has been playing for the youth team and was sent off during the under-23s fixture against Tottenham last month.

According to report, the former Premier League title winner will now be given a new environment as Turkish side Kasimpasa, who are 14th in the Turkish Super Lig, are pushing to take him away from Stamford Bridge.

Though he has been linked with some teams across Europe, Kasimpasa look like the club likely to sign him from Chelsea.

Chelsea will be willing to let him leave at the right offer as he is among the players listed up for transfer during the ongoing transfer market.

We have to wait to see if the Turkish side will finally offer a deal to the Blues.
