Bundesliga side rules out move for star forward amid interest from Chelsea
Bundesliga Champion, Bayern Munich has revealed that Robert Lewandowski will not leaving their club this summer amid interest from Chelsea.
Chelsea are not relenting in their effort to sign a number nine this season despite splashing huge cash on Timo Werner last summer.
The London club have also sold Oliver Giroud to AC Milan with Tammy Abraham reportedly set to complete a permanent move to Arsenal.
Thomas Tuchel has now identity Lewandowski as a player that will help the team in their pursuit for glory after a deal couldn’t be agree with Borussia Dortmund for Erling Haaland.
However, Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer insisted that Lewandowski will stay at the club for at least the next two years.
Speaking with goal, Hainer stated that in his opinion, Lewandowski is best striker in the world and the club are so happy to have him in the squad.
He noted that Lewandowski has two more years on his contract and he will definitely play those with Bayern Munich.
Lewandowski scored 48 goals in 40 appearances for Bayern during the 2020-21 campaign and is tipped for the Balloon d’Or award.
