Arteta reacts as player snubs Arsenal for Chelsea

Arsenal coach, Mikel Arteta, has reacted to the decision of one of their January transfer targets Mykhailo Mudryk to sign for Chelsea over moving to Emirate Stadium.

This will be the first time Arteta will speak on the transfer as Chelsea finally completed a move for Mudryk.

Recall that the North London side were heavily linked with the 22-year-old star and had submitted three bids to Shakhtar Donetsk, all of which were turned down.

However, Chelsea, who also joined the race swooped in on Saturday to finalize a deal for Mudryk.

Following his arrival at Stamford Bridge, Mudryk was unveiled by the Blues during their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Arteta was asked about the transfer after the 2-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur.

He replied: “I am very proud of the players we have now.

“The club is trying everything, but we have to be very consistent and disciplined in our targets.

“Also we can make these players better.”
