Arsenal set to offload youngster as they edge closer towards signing Ben White
Premier League outfit Arsenal are willing to trim down their squad as they edge closer towards announcing the signature of Brighton & Hove defender Ben White.
Arsenal are claimed to have had a £40million bid rejected by Brighton for the defender but are eager to sort out a deal before the end of this month.
The deal, which might be completed after Euro 2020, means Arsenal will let go of some players, and William Saliba has been tipped as the player that’ll make way.
Saliba joined Arsenal in 2019 but is yet to play a league game for the north London club.
He was loaned OGC Nice in the January transfer window to reignite his career after he fell out with Mikel Arteta.
Saliba had an excellent time in France as he appeared 20 times across all competitions for the OGC Nice, but that won’t get him a place in the Arsenal team under Mikel Arteta.
According to football.London, Saliba is considering his options ahead of the new season as a permanent move to Nice might be on the card.
Newcastle United are also one of the teams reportedly interested in signing Saliba on a permanent move due to his impressive performance in France.
