Argentine midfielder takes over Jorginho’s shirt at Chelsea

Chelsea’s latest signing and Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez has been handed Jorginho’s shirt number 5 at Stamford Bridge.

This was after Jorginho completed a shocking transfer move to the Blues’ rival Arsenal in January.

Recall that the Argentina midfielder arrived in the UK this month where he completed his transfer from Benfica.

Fernandez cost Chelsea a British record transfer fee of €120 million and signed an eight-and-a-half-year deal with the Blues.

The World Cup winner joined Benfica from River Plate in the summer of 2022.

This season, he has scored only once and provided five assists in 17 Primeira Liga games.

It is yet to be known if he would make the team selection ahead of Chelsea weekend game vs Fulham in the Premier League.
