Reports: Arsenal told to fork out £77m for highly rated Seria A forward

Arsenal have finally completed the signing of Ben White from Brighton & Hove but the Gunners are still willing to add fresh legs to their squad.

Mikel Arteta’s team have been linked with a move for Chelsea forward, Tammy Abraham, but reports claimed both clubs are yet to sort out a transfer fee.

With the deal looking like one that might be dragged till the transfer deadline day, Arsenal have reportedly been told to fork out almost £77m if they want to sing Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.

Martinez have been linked to Arsenal as Inter Milan have not been able to make progress in their attempts to tie the Argentine down to a new deal beyond 2023.

With Inter Milan willing to let him go this summer, Arsenal have joined Barcelona in the race.

However, a new report from Tuttosport claims Inter are demanding a sum of €90m (£76.8m) to part ways with the much-coveted striker.

The report claim Inter Milan have no interest in a part-exchange deal with Arsenal involving Alexandre Lacazette.

Spanish giant Atletico Madrid are now believe to be ahead of the Gunners on the queue of clubs interested in Martinez as they prepare a straight-cash bid.
