Reports: Arsenal still thinking of signing youngster after loss to Brentford
Arsenal have begin their new season with a loss against Premier League newcomers Brentford and this is a sign of what to come this season.
In a bid not to end up lamenting all season, Arsenal are reportedly willing to complete a deal for Real Madrid’s attacking midfielder, Martin Odegaard this summer
Martin Odegaard enjoyed a positive six-month loan spell with Arsenal in the second half of last season, scoring one goal and making two assists in 14 Premier League games.
Arsenal have been linked with the Norway international ever since the transfer window opened but they’ve not been able to struck a deal with Real Madrid.
The midfielder is back at Real Madrid and preparing for the new season but Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Arsenal still wants to sign him.
Romano while speaking on the Don Robbie YouTube channel stated that Arsenal are still waiting for Odegaard as a priority.
Though Arsenal have also been linked with James Maddison of Leicester City, Romano revealed that Odegaard remain their top priority.
Arsenal will take on Chelsea in their second Premier League match as they hope to bounce back from a disappointing start to the season.
