Premier League CEO to watch Arsenal Vs Everton match, snubs City’s game

The recent report has revealed that Premier League chief executive, Richard Masters, will be in the stand this weekend when Arsenal host Everton in their final Premier League match at Emirates Stadium.

The Athletic reported that Masters will be absent at Etihad Stadium during Manchester City’s clash with West Ham.

This weekend, the duo of Arsenal and Man City stand a chance of being crowned champions for this season.

Reports have revealed that there will be identical trophies at the Emirates and Etihad stadiums during the match.

Between Arsenal and Man City, Pep Guardiola’s side stand a better chance to win the title this season, as they are two points clear and hardly drop points at home.

Irrespective of this, Masters has decided to head to the Emirates to see Arsenal try to win their first top-flight title in 20 years.

It is also a chance for Masters to avoid the potentially awkward scene of handing Man City with the Premier League trophy amid the club’s 115 alleged breaches of FFP rules.

We will have to wait till the weekend to see how this would play out for the Gunners who narrowly lost the title to Man City last season.
