As Arsenal prepare to let go Granit Xhaka this summer, Italian side As Roma might not be adding him to their squad as they are not prepared to meet Arsenal’s asking price.

Granit Xhaka has been linked with a move away from Arsenal this summer with different clubs reportedly willing to have him in their team.

However, AS Roma have been linked as the favourite to sign the Switzerland international who put in an impressive performance during Euro 2020.

Jose Mourinho’s Roma was thought to be on the verge of completing a move for Xhaka but things has changed in the last few days.

Accordimg to Il Tempo, negotiations between Arsenal and Roma has stopped with the Italian side not ready to meet Arsenal’s valuation of the experienced midfielder.

The report claims that the Gunners are refusing to sell Xhaka for under €20m (£17m) which Roma are willing to pay.

Some clubs are keeping a close eye on the developments as Xhaka might eventually join another team rather than Roma.
