Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has finally spoken about the future of Germany defender Shkodran Mustafi’s who has been linked with a move away from the club.

Shkodran Mustafi has made just three Premier League appearances for Arsenal this season and has been left noted with a move away from the Emirates stadium.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a move to Premier League champion Liverpool who are currently having an injury crisis in their backline.

Liverpool’s first choice defender Van Dijk and Joel Gomez are currently out of the team as Joel Matip and Fabinho who have been playing ever since they got injured have also joined the list of injured player.

Arteta whose team played a draw against Manchester United has now shared his thoughts on the future of Mustafi.

According to the Spanish trainer, there are some conversations going on at the moment as he has spoken with all the players about their own situation because they are all aware of the minutes they’re playing and they want to improve their situation.

Mustafi will be willing to join Liverpool on a short-term deal as Arsenal are ready to remove his substantial salary from their wage bill.
