Arsenal join race for highly rated Italian striker who is a target for Tottenham

Premier League side, Arsenal are set to battle it out with Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic.

Vlahovic has been attracting attention in the summer transfer window with reports linking him with a move to Tottenham, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid.

None of the clubs have been able to agree a deal with him and Arsenal have decided to join the queue as they plan to strengthen their squad.

According to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, Arsenal have entered the race for the 21-year-old’s signature, having recently made contact with his agent Darko Ristic.

Vlahovic was in the best form of his life last season as he scored 21 goals in 37 games for a below-par Fiorentina side last season.

This was his best season ever since he joined Florentina from Serbian outfit Partizan in 2018.

Hopefully, the Gunners would be able to secure the deal, however, they will have to be weary of Tottenham, who stands a better a chance.

The Gunners wouldn’t be playing in Europe this season, this making it difficult for them to attract new players.
