Arsenal defender, Gabriel Magalhaes who scored the winning goal for the Gunners during their recent win vs Chelsea in the EPL has shared a cryptic post after he missed out on a place in Brazil’s 2022 FIFA World Cup squad.

This comes as Brazil national team manager, Tite on Monday unveiled his 26-man squad for Qatar, which included some Premier League stars like Everton’s Richarlison, Chelsea’s Thiago Silva and Arsenal forwards Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli, while Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino was not included.

Magalhaes was left out of the squad despite his impressive show with Arsenal this season.

The Gunners defender who is yet to make his senior Brazil debut missed out on Chelsea’s Thiago Silva, Paris Saint-Germain’s Marquinhos, Real Madrid’s Eder Militao and Juventus’ Bremer.

While he is yet to directly comment on the matter, the centre-back did respond to a fan on his Instagram story shortly after the squad was announced.

Reposting a message that read: “I saw you grow up in football, brother. You are the pride of our neighbourhood.” Magalhaes added a heart and fist-bump emoji to the caption.

Magalhaes also liked a number of his teammates’ posts on social media celebrating their own call-up.
