Chelsea captain and Spain international Cesar Azpilicueta has appealed to his teammates to be at their best during their game vs Spanish giants Real Madrid.

This comes as the Blues will go head to head against Real Madrid in an away Champions League quarter-final tie on Wednesday night.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, the Spaniard said: “It is a unique opportunity and only eight teams are here. It is special and difficult. This is a tie that will demand the most of us, from each one and as a team, because we play against the current champions.
“It is the third year in a row that we play against them. They have a lot of experience.”

“All rivals must be treated with respect, with humility. We know that Real Madrid are a club with a great history in the competition and that’s why we need to be at our best.”

Meanwhile, winning the UCL trophy is Chelsea’s only chance of playing in Europe next season.
