Danny Drinkwater has affirmed that he is planning to leave Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
Regardless of Danny Drinkwater costing Chelsea £35m in 2017, the midfielder played 23 times for the Blues in all competitions, spending the last season on loan at Burnley and Aston Villa respectively.
During his brief period away from Stamford Bridge, the midfielder failed to establish a positive impression, leaving him attempting to draw in offers from clubs ahead of the new season.
When Chelsea might be set to hand the 30-year-old a free transfer, Danny Drinkwater has recognized that he will leave the West Londoners sooner rather than later.

hmmm 💭 “Being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated is optional…” Back at @chelseafc only for pre season… working hard, trying to get fit and be in the best shape I can be for wherever I go next. As much as I would love to be settled at a club like I should be, the unknown is kinda exciting 😜😁
Danny Drinkwater still has two years left on his contract at Chelsea FC.
