Chelsea have just spent large to sign both Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner this summer, but Frank Lampard’s side are believed to be quick to bring the Bayer Leverkusen youngster to the club in front of the 2020-21 season.
The Blues will hope to raise the necessary funds by selling Danny Drinkwater, Emerson Palmieri Marcos Alonso, Michy Batshuayi, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Kenedy this summer.
Tiemoue Bakayoko has been on loan with Monaco, while Kenedy and Drinkwater have been on loan at Getafe and Aston Villa individually but Emerson, Alonso and Batshuayi have all been included for the London club this season.
Bayern Munich have also been emphatically connected with Kai Havertz, however the German bosses recently precluded a summer move for the talented youngster.
