Chelsea boost transfer pursuit of Premier League star as Kepa Arrizabalaga replacement

The Blues will step up their quest for Burnley shot-stopper Nick Pope to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is interested to acquire the Clarets and England goalkeeper.

Frank Lampard recently dropped Kepa Arrizabalaga before this season.

Atletico Madrid shot-stopper Jan Oblak, Dean Hendersonof Manchester United and Ajax’s Andre Onana have all been on Chelsea’s radar.

However, Nick Pope’s massively noteworthy performances during lockdown have made him the force to be reckoned with.

His absolute of 15 clean sheets have put him one behind Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson in the race for the Golden Gloves award.

If Chelsea can sell Kepa Arrizabalaga, who they bought for a world-record fee £71.6m, they could have more money to give Burnley what they need.
