Paris Saint Germain PSG had an interesting outing in the Uefa Champions League on Wednesday night as they thrashed Man Utd with 3 goals to 1 right at Old Trafford.
Brazil forward, Neymar Jr. scored two goals to boost the French Ligue 1 giant chances of making it to the next round in the UCL.
While Neymar maybe enjoying his stay in PSG, he has however insisted on a return to Barcelona.
Recall that the Brazilian moved to France from Barca for a world-record €222million fee in 2017, with one of the reasons being that he wanted to escape the shadow of Messi at Barcelona and be able to win the Ballon d’Or which he is yet to win.
Neymar since moving to PSG has repeatedly been tipped to return to Spain, he has however, made it clear he will stay in Paris until at least the end of the 2020-21 season.
On the other hand, Messi who is ready to leave Camp Nou was unable to do so in the previous transfer window but with his contract running out next June, it remains to be seen if he will choose to leave next year.
For his part, Neymar wants nothing more than to reunite with his old team-mate, telling ESPN on Wednesday: “What I want most is to play with Messi again.
“I want to play with him. I’ll let him play in my position if he wants!
“Next year, we have to play together, for sure.”
