Newcastle open talks with Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United target

NEWCASTLE UNITED are leading Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United in the race to sign Philippe Coutinho, as indicated by reports.

The Magpies have moved to land the ex-Liverpool man ahead of their inevitable mega money Saudi backed takeover.

Reports prior today recommended the Gunners intend to start conversations with the 27-year-old soon while United and Chelsea have been connected for quite a long time.

The Toon have gotten the best of the Premier League trio and started talks with the playmaker and his camp, as indicated by Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.

They are said to have clarified the ambitious new project planned at St James’ Park if the takeover goes through.

Philippe Coutinholeft Anfield in a £142million change to Barcelona in January 2018 however failed to live up to expectations and was sent out on loan to Bayern Munich the previous summer.

He scored multiple times and eight assists for the German champions from 32 appearances in all comeptitions this season.

Bayern had the choice to pay £105million for Philippe Coutinho next transfer window, however club boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge affirmed the club were not going to take it up toward the end of April.

Newcastle United’s potential new owner are said to want Mauricio Pochettino as manager and Rafael Benitez if they can’t land the ex-Tottenham man.

What’s more, it is recommended the opportunity to sign Coutinho has been run past the two men who have given it the green light.

Barcelona are believed to make an inquiry around £71million for the Brazil ace.

The news will come as a hit to the Gunners as Coutinho was supposed to be Mikel Arteta’s “fantasy signing”.

Arsenal’s Spanish manager figures Coutinho will experience a resurgence if he moves to the Emirates, and will “lead Arsenal to go up against both Liverpool and Manchester City”.

He was suppose to return to the Nou Camp toward the end of the season but Bayern are thinking about expanding his stay on a short term until the Champions League is done.
