Spaniard coach Mikel Arteta has provided an update on the future of German midfielder Mesut Ozil as he noted that the club are working hard to provide the best solution for all parties involved.
Ozil has not been having the best Arsenal career he would have hoped for despite being one of the club’s top earners after moving from Real Madrid.
The world cup winner was not in this season Premier League and Europa League squad for Mikel Arteta as he has been forced to support the team on social media.
Ozil is free to speak to foreign clubs this month and some top European teams especially in Turkey has been linked with the world cup winner.
Arsenal will be eager to win the FA cup they won last year and Arteta will have to do it without Ozil as he stated that the German future future will be decided by the club in the next few days.
He noted that a decision has to be made when you have to register or not register players, when you have to play them or not play them all the time.
He added that the club know they have a really important player that is one of key players in the past few seasons for the football club and so they have to make a decision.
Arteta whose team are currently on fire stated that January is another month when the club have to make another decision and they will just put in the balance what is best for the club.
Ozil has not featured for the Arsenal since the win over West Ham in March and has only six months left on his current contract.
