Why this defender is set to snub contract extension at Man Utd
Recall that a report had claimed that Man Utd would be extending the contract of Ivory Coast international, Eric Bailey at the club.
Well, a latest report has claimed that Bailey is set to turn down the Red Devils new contract as he seems to be unhappy with the situation of things at Old Trafford.
The reports revealed that part of the reason why the Ivorian will be turning down the new contract is that he was dropped out of the team that played the Italian side, AC Milan in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.
The Red Devils coach as at then had said he was been assessed.
However, Bailey seems to be dissatisfied with limited playing chances being handed to him at Old Trafford and is keen on looking for game time elsewhere.
An insider told The Sun: “Eric has had enough now. He simply doesn’t feel wanted or respected by the manager. Eric doesn’t believe he gets any answers or explanation about the way he is treated and feels he is the easy option to leave out.”
If he refuses to extend his contract, then he could be on his way out of the club in the summer.
