Why Man Utd drew 1-1 Vs Burnley – Ten Hag
Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag has reacted to their recent 1-1 draw against Burnley on Saturday as the Red Devils were unable to secure a win at Old Trafford.
Hightlights from the match showed as the Red Devils struggled to break through the visitors defence.
At a point, it was looking like it was going to end in a goalless draw before Antony broke the deadlock in the 79th minute to give the Red Devils the lead.
However, in the unexpected turn of events, the Clarets earned a point after Man Utd goalkeeper Andre Onana gave away a penalty and Zeki Amdouni equalized from the spot.
In a post-match statement, Ten Hag said Man Utd had the opportunity to win the match but gave it away.
The outcome of the match put the Red Devils at the 6th point with 13 points behind Aston Villa, who are at the 4th spot on the league table.
Man Utd will now have to focus on their next game against Crystal Palace as they hope to secure a spot in European tournaments next season.
The Red Devils also have an opportunity to end the season with a trophy when they play their neighbours Man City in the FA Cup final.
