Manchester United playmaker Bruno Fernandes has sent a strong message to critics after his side ended Manchester City unbeaten run.

Manchester City might have started the league slowly but Pep Guardiola’s team have been able to make their way to the top of the league and need to accumulate some points before being confirmed as the champion.

However, Manchester United stopped a 23 match unbeaten run across all competition with Fernandes’ penalty setting United on their way to a 2-0 win over runaway leaders.

This victory comes after Fernandes and his teammates have been criticised this season for their relatively poor displays against big teams.

Fernandes while speaking with Sky Sports have now slammed those criticising them as he praises his teammates.

The Portuguese stated that maybe people will now say United is finally performing against the big six because they won.

But maybe they performed better against other teams and don’t win the games.

Fernandes stated that his team scored against City, didn’t concede and this is what football is all about though against Liverpool they had chances to score and didn’t score, one for him and one from Paul Pogba, great saves from Alisson and we don’t score, 0-0.

However, things were different against City as they had two chances to score as they had some more but they don’t do well, but his team scored from chances and win the game.

He added that maybe against Liverpool they had more chances to win the game, but still they perform better.
