Trouble for Man Utd as this player could be out for a month
Manchester United have every reason to be worried as the latest reports have revealed that their player Raphael Varane could be out for one month.
This comes as the centre-back had only just recovered from a muscular problem that he sustained while on international duties with France during the October international break.
However, the 28-year-old French defender sustained another injury during the Uefa Champions League clash with Atalanta BC as he had to leave the pitch before the end of the match.
Man Utd in a recent update, has now confirmed that Varane has sustained a hamstring injury and would be out for a month.
“The club confirms that Raphael sustained a hamstring injury, which is expected to keep him out of action for around a month,” read a statement on the club’s official website.
“The centre-back was withdrawn during the first half of the game in Bergamo, with Atalanta leading 1-0. Mason Greenwood replaced him, and the Reds went on to secure a valuable point against the Serie A side courtesy of a brace from Cristiano Ronaldo.”
Varane’s absence comes at a time when the Red Devils are struggling to perform and also when they face their arch-rivals Manchester City in the Manchester derby this weekend.
The French defender will also be unavailable when the Red Devils face Watford, Villarreal and Chelsea.
