The kind of striker Man Utd need to sign

Former Arsenal star Alan Smith has urged Manchester United on the kind of striker they need to sign this summer transfer window to be able to challenge for a Premier League title next season.

Recall that Man United finished in the third spot on the Premier League table last season, behind European champions Man City and second-placed Arsenal.

Smith, however, believes that for the Red Devils to unseat Man City, they need to sign an A-grade striker to the squad.

“I think that Manchester United can close the gap on their city rivals, but not to the extent where they are challenging them for the Premier League title,” Smith told Gambling Zone.

“They need a striker, no question about that. If they could get an A-grade striker, that would make a big difference.”

This is coming after Man Utd sealed a move for former Chelsea midfielder Mount Mason.
