Ten Hag reveals his expectations from Man Utd players
Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag in a recent statement has opened up on what he wants to achieve with his squad ahead of their preseason matches, including their clash against Liverpool on Tuesday.
Man Utd have commenced their pre-season tour of Asia, having flown out on Friday.
The Red Devils will play six friendlies across Thailand, Australia, Norway and then return to Old Trafford in an extremely busy pre-season.
Ten Hag revealed he is working to get his ideas and style of play across to his players as he hopes to rebuild the struggling club.
“We want to play a proactive style of football,” he told the club’s media.
“On the ball and off the ball. We are brave and willing to have the ball, to give each other options. But also off the ball, to get the pressing style is what we’re working for together.”
“Of course, I want to bring the energy to my team,” he said. “But I must say, the players do really well. They are really focused. They bring, for themselves, the energy.
“You see, they enjoy playing football. They enjoy playing football together and they really work well together.”
