Sutton slams Man Utd star who looks clunky

Former Chelsea star, Chris Sutton, has taken a swipe at Manchester United defender Matthijs de Ligt.

Sutton in his statement said the  Netherlands star looks clunky at the moment.

According to the former Blues player, De Ligt was agile and mobile when he was with Ajax in the Eredivisie.

Sutton in a comment on It’s All Kicking Off Podcast said Sutton pointed out that De Ligt has  been in the gym too much.

“When he was at Ajax and he came to the fore, not only was he strong, but he was agile, he was mobile. He just looks clunky, doesn’t he?” Sutton asked.

Recall that De Ligt moved to Old Trafford from German side Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.

However, like other Man Utd summer signee, De Ligt has struggled to impress at Old Trafford as the club’s performance has remained woeful.

So far, the Red Devils’ hierarchy are said to be contemplating on parting ways with their current manager Erik ten Hag in order after he seems unable to proffer to solution to the club’s poor performance.

Man Utd as of now are seated out the top ten on the league table.
