Ronaldo could replace Ole as coach in 18 months
Tim Sherwood, a former Tottenham coach, has tipped Cristiano Ronaldo to take over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as coach at Man Utd in the next 18 months.
Ronaldo, since his second return to Old Trafford, has scored 4 goals in 3 matches.
But the same can’t be said about Ole who signed Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho as well as Raphael Varane and is yet to perform at the club.
The report has revealed that the Red Devils manager is now under intense pressure following West Ham recent victory over Man Utd in the Carabao Cup.
Since taking over from Jose Mourinho, Ole has not lifted any trophy with the Red Devils.
Sherwood, however, believes Ronaldo could be on the course of becoming the next coach as he was seen standing beside Solskjaer in the dugout during their shock Champions League defeat to Young Boys last week.
“I can see Ronaldo as Manchester United manager within 18 months.
“I think it’s okay that Ronaldo’s on the touchline and Ole’s going to have to accept it. If he brings him to his football club you’ve got to know what you’re bringing in,” Sherwood told Ladbrokes.
He stressed that it’s completely different Ronaldo to the one who was at Old Trafford the first time around as the Portugal star knows how he’s needed and if he feels like he needs to stand next to the manager and give instructions, then he has to be allowed.
