Manchester United considering signing Bayern Munich midfielder this summer

Manchester United are supposedly considering a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka during this present summer’s transfer window.

The Premier League giants appears to be on the verge of completing deal for Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, and the club are also accepted to be interested to sign another centre back ahead of next season.

However, another midfielder is also thought to be a priority for Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot apparently emerging as a possible alternative.

As per Bild, there is interest from the Red Devils in Goretzka, who scored 8 times and gave nine assists in 32 appearances at club level during the 2020-21 campaign.

The Germany international’s present deal at the Allianz Arena is expected to terminate next June, albeit the German champions have purportedly opened talks over a potential extension.

The 26-year-old, who made 3 appearances for Germany at Euro 2020, has featured on 112 occasiona for Bayern since arriving at the club from Schalke 04 in July 2018.
