Man Utd willing to let Brazilian leave
Manchester United are said to still ready to agree to let Brazilian midfielder Casemiro to leave this summer.
Casemiro, who moved to Old Trafford from Spanish side Real Madrid in 2022, was impressive in his first season for Man Utd, appearing in 53 competitive matches to help them win the EFL Cup and finish in the third-place.
However, his performances dipped last season drawing significant criticisms and many doubted if he could still maintain his form.
Owing to this, there has been speculation about Man United offloading Casemiro this summer despite the fact he is under contract until June 2026 with an option to extend by a year.
So far, there have been no reports of any serious bid for Casemiro, raising the prospect that the Brazilian could remain at Old Trafford next season.
But popular transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a statement has said there is still a ‘concrete possibility’ that Casemiro will exit Old Trafford this summer.
Saudi Pro League clubs are said to be in contact with the player’s agents as they continue to discuss terms of a potential deal.
On the Red Devils’ part, they are willing to approve a summer exit to create room in the squad for a new midfielder.
